Zest is the first and only tailored, advice and nutritional platform for cancer management and prevention in the world. This French-Belgian venture aims to help cancer patients all over the world in fighting this disease with proper evidence-based nutrition and other lifestyle advice. The platform provides nutrition and diet plans to cancer patients, formulated by oncology dietitians, medical practitioners and other researchers. Additionally it also prepares recipes and grocery lists, week after week, for their patients and gets those delivered to their homes.
When we met up with this idealistic team of dedicated professionals, Zest was looking for a partner who could help them build a health- and diet personalization platform. Patients would be asked to enter health details such as medical condition, current medications, treatment schedule, allergies and symptoms, combined with more details related to their specific cancer type- and stage. Patients and users would receive personalized nutrition and diet recommendations to improve their health. As cancer patients and their families already have a lot on their plates, such a personalized advice and service platform could do wonders for them.
This platform required a meticulous and diligent focus. No errors providing the right nutrition and diet facts to patients could be made !
Mindrops worked with Zest to develop a web platform that allows patients to enter and manage their health related details, and to get appropriate food and diet related recommendations based on their current health condition. Patients will go through a series of questions about their age, gender, stage, symptoms, allergies, comorbidities etc. Once the health related data is collected, the algorithm gives the right nutrition and dietary advice, so as to help patients improve their health condition. Patients can modify their details and enter daily symptoms to their dashboards. Mindrops developed the platform in HTML/CSS, Angular with Nodejs in the backend. We made sure we followed and completed all of the Zest’s requirements and kept their platform updated and managed from then on. Through this great project and with the fantastic team at Zest, Mindrops is proud to have made a contribution to help people dealing with cancer today.
